As we draw ever closer to the November 8 midterm elections, we all know what issue number one concerning our votes is. It’s inflation. Poll after poll says it’s the main reason people are seeking change in our leadership. It’s the main reason we are unhappy with the state of our country. And it’s the primary reason the democrats will not have a good election season.
However, no matter how many facts are thrown out or polls taken, it seems the Democrats are hell-bent on making abortion and not inflation the key issue. According to them, it is, or at least it should be, a major concern for all of America. And, of course, it’s the one major area in which they feel they might have some success in.
And so, whether it’s relevant to you and yours or not, they will try to make it so.
Take Democratic gubernatorial candidate and America’s sorest loser besides Hillary Clinton, Stacey Abrams, for example.
She was recently asked by MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” host Mike Barnicle what her plan was to alleviate the fears and concerns about inflation (the real issue at heart) for the state of Georgia. As Barnicle pointed out, it’s the cost of living, the daily and hourly expenses, that people are worried about. So what will Abrams do to help them with those?
Her answer was abortion.
Yes, you read that correctly.
According to the Democratic hopeful, inflation is only a major issue because of our children, as they make everything more expensive. And so, in her mind, the simple solution is to cut out children, to make abortion both legal and more prevalent, so families aren’t forced to spend more on such children.
“Let’s be clear: Having children is why you’re worried about your price of gas. It’s why you’re concerned about how much food costs.”
Now, this is true for the most part. I mean, children do make things more expensive. You have to buy more clothes, more food, travel to more places, etc., so I don’t have an issue with this fact.
However, the same cannot be said about what she concurs next.
“For women, this is not a reductive issue. You can’t divorce being forced to carry an unwanted pregnancy from the economic realities of having a child. And so these are – it’s important for us to have both/and conservations.”
She went on to explain herself, saying that half of the population (women, particularly those in their childbearing years) completely understand that having children is an economic issue. And to be sure, it is. Any mother, whether enduring a planned or unplanned pregnancy, is at some point faced with the responsibilities of what that child will mean mentally, physically, and financially.
However, Abrams’ suggestion is to just make that child no longer any of anyone’s concern. Just take it out of the equation, and immediately the “problem” of inflation is solved. Worried about rising inflation? Abort your child. Hell, you might as well get rid of the ones you already have while you’re at it too…
She does understand that inflation affects more than just childbearing women, right? It affects women far past their prime. It affects the childless. Hell, it even affects men… gasp.
Abrams might realize this if she wasn’t so wrapped up in liberal banter and lies to see reality for what it actually is. People are suffering, families are going broke, and needs are being unmet, irregardless of whether or not they have children or are pregnant. But she apparently sees only that her agenda is happening, and she is mad about it.
As it turns out, that’s not what most Americans care about.
We care about putting food on our tables, gas in our vehicles, being able to provide for our families, and being safe. And yet, at every turn, the one ruling party of today has ignored those concerns. Instead, they keep bringing in more and more unvetted illegal immigrants, our cities are being overrun with crime, unemployment is growing, and inflation is through the roof.
Of course, they don’t want to discuss any of those issues because it will only end badly for them. And so their only resort is to turn to abortion. Unfortunately for them, it’s going to help at all. And neither is telling people to abort their children to save money.
